Family Gathering and the Peace Scroll...
I first heard about the Peace Scroll at a course that my mother and I am attending in Mullingar. At our annual family summer barbecue last weekend she had all the pieces of material cut out and made the envelopes for all the family members present. We lit some candles, sat around the water feature in the back garden, with the sun descending on Mt Leister and meditated with a peace meditation to the background sound of the flowing water and birds chirping. My sister read the meditation which focused on our own peace at first and then on sending this peace to others. It was so nice. The age range on the day was from 7 to 74 including my own two teenage sons. The feeling was magical and if everybody got some sense of the message the knock on effect could be enormous and that is just within our family. I know some of us will reflect daily on the peace scroll and wish you the very best of luck as the word spreads. - Martina, Maynooth, Ireland'

Sending Peace to Guwahati, Assam, India

"This beautiful piece of silk was made for me in Guwahati, Assam, India. The mother of our friend Autri, created a village and cottage industry for women of the streets and their children near Guwhati. The families live and work in this safe place and are self supporting with their weavings.
I send blessings of peace to the people of their land and people everywhere" Sherry Biltz, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

Boxes of Pieces brought to Children in School
Glasheen Boys and Girls National Schools in Cork.
Wed 4th and Fri 6th June 2006:   We spent time with the children talking about what peace means to them.  Then we spent some quiet time thinking of peaceful and happy thoughts while holding the pieces of material.  They then allowed the happy, peaceful energy to flow into their pieces of material.  The enthusiasm of the children filled me with great hope of peace for our world.  I am grateful for their inspiration.
